From Highlands to Himalayas: Proving big adventures are accessible to everyone

Hi, I’m Iona!

And this is Tents Trees and Bumblebees, my little corner of the internet for adventure-folks out there. Whether you’re into kayaking, surfing, local hikes, adventure travel, or sustainable exploring – I’ve got a bit of everything here.

My main aim? To prove adventure dreams are accessible to everyone. I’m not the fittest, the richest, or the most experienced person out there. I have a lot of dreams and goals, plus a willingness to try everything and anything, and I’m determined to prove I can do it all (or at least give them all a bash).

I’m a multi-potentialite who is an adventure travel writer, corporate freelance writer and bracelet maker. Have a look at my work with me page for more details or read more about my journey into adventure.

The 9 Best Gifts for Hikers in 2023

Buying for adventurous hiker friends and family can be difficult. They don’t want a Boots body lotion hamper pack or ANOTHER pair of socks (because trust me, we own a lot already). So what are the best gifts for hikers in 2023?
